Kingfisher books, 2008
isbn 978 0753417263
I wrote the History, Animals and Art and Entertainment sections of this Kingfisher Encyclopedia.
Quiz Whiz
Kingfisher books, 2008
isbn 978 0753415894
This information-come-quiz book by Kingfisher has been very successful. Each spread carries information and a panel of questions. I wrote half the text.
Polar Meltdown
A & C Black, 2008
isbn 978 1408100271
I have contributed three titles to A&C Black’s Extreme high interest, low reading age series that aims to communicate science concepts to teenagers.
Rocks and Minerals
Miles Kelly, 2009
isbn 978 1848101258
This title for Miles Kelly gave me a great idea for a narrative non-fiction book that is now under development.
Grasslands
Barrington Stoke, 2009
isbn 978-1842997000
Wham! is a series I devised for Barrington Stoke, who publish high interest, low reading age titles. They were looking to expand their non-fiction list and I came up with the idea of telling the story of a food chain, leaving in the gory bits that will appeal to teenagers.
The Father of the Hybrid Car
Crabtree, 2009
isbn 978-0778746775
A biography of hybrid car pioneer Victor Wouk for Crabtree’s Green Voices series. There was nothing published on Victor Wouk, so I worked online, – everything was researched on the web, where I also located his son in America and interviewed him online.
You did a wonderful job. You made a book about the development of the hybrid car into a fascinating story that people would care about.

The Pharaoh's Toothache
Evans Brothere, 2009
isbn 978-0237540326
One of two playscripts for Evans that I developed from musicals I wrote to be performed by the children at my school. I had to lengthen the stories considerably, changing the structure and adding new characters.

My story for Barrington Stoke, called Topspin, will be published next year. It’s about a tennis-mad teenager coping with the departure of his dad, who is his tennis coach.
